Julie Banderas was born Julie E. Bidwell on September 25, 1973, in Hartford, Connecticut, America to parents, father Howard D. Bidwell and mother Fabiola R. She also has a sister named Melissa Bidwell. She has an American nationality while she is of a mixed ethnic group. 

As a child, she grew up with her sibling in the Hartford streets and studied in local schools during her childhood. Later, she was an attendee of the Emerson College from where she completed her bachelor's an got a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1996.

The couple dated for a couple of years before getting married. Andrew proposed Julie with a message in a bottle while they were harvesting clams (clam digging) on the Long Island Sound. The pair announced their engagement in an episode of America's Election Headquarters' episode on September 21, 2008

A year later, the duo walked down the aisle at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church on August 29, 2009. They have two daughters. Their first daughter Addison was born on April 21, 2010, while their second child Avery was born on November 13, 2012

Besides her affair with her husband, she was once caught in an affair related controversy and was alleged to have an affair with a married photographer but the news was silenced after there were no proofs of such. 

Career-wise, Banderas began her career in October 1997 with a job as a News Anchor at the WHSV TV. She worked there for almost two years before joining WBRE TV for a similar job. Just a year after, she was called out by the WFSB TV

2 years later, Julie became a part of the Fox 5 (WNYW-TV) channel. After almost four years, she joined the Fox News Channel in 2005 and has been working there as a News Anchor and National Correspondent till now.
