Sweet and lovely, Judith Light was born as Judith Ellen Light in Trenton, New Jersey, United States of America to Pearl Sue and Sidney Light. She is an American and is of Austrian Jewish descent. She is five feet and seven inches tall.

Judith received her formal education from St. Mary's Hall-Doane Academy. She was also able to complete her high school graduation from there and she graduated from there in 1966. Later she got enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University and graduated from there in 1971.
