John Schneider walks out of jail just hours after his imprisonment began.

The Haves and the Have Nots star (since 2013) was arrested on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:24 am. He was booked into the LA County Jail at 10:29 am, People confirmed. But luckily due to overcrowding in California's prison system, Schneider was released just hours after his 3-day sentencing began, at 3:46 pm.

Schneider, 58, was sentenced to three days imprisonment in the Los Angeles County Jail on Monday, June 11 for not paying alimony due to his estranged wife, Elly Castle. The Dukes of Hazard (1979-85) star was supposed to pay over $150,000 in alimony to Elly by mid-March.

In addition to imprisonment, Schneider was also ordered to complete 240 hours of community service, which he still due to complete - according to TMZ.

In February, Schnieder was ordered to pay more than $150,000 in support to Elly and he needed to pay the sum until March 14. At the time, the judge reportedly ordered John to transfer his Apple Valley property to Elly and to resolve the property's tax liens. However, TMZ had reported he did not resolve the tax liens.

Elly filed for divorce against Schnieder on November 14, 2014, in Los Angeles County after 21 years of their marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. The pair has three children together; Leah, Chasen, and Karis.

In September 2016, he was ordered to pay Elly $18,911 every month in spousal support.
