John Kennerley, Kerri-Anne Kennerley's Husband, Dies At Age 78

John Kennerley, the husband of veteran television personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley, died on Wednesday, February 27. He was 78.

The legendary TV presenter took to Instagram this morning to confirm her husband's death, featuring a touching post in which she celebrates his life and challenges.

Alongside a photo of the couple from their wedding, she wrote,

It's with a heavy heart and awful sadness that I let you know that my beautiful husband John passed away last night.

As you all know, John has faced some tremendous challenges over the past few years and with each he has been extraordinarily brave and determined to overcome those hurdles and live a normal life.

According to the Instagram post, John passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and their son Simon at Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

The Kerri-Anne show host John's life in a wheelchair as his "challenges". He had an accident in March 2016 after slipping off a balcony verandah at a golf resort in Coffs Harbour.

John landed on his head and back that caused his C2 and C3 vertebrae fractured. He almost became completely paralyzed.
