Before starting the career in acting, Pesci was a barber and also a musician. He released his album Little Joe Sure Can Sing in 1968 and also appeared in the Michael Jackson anthology film “Moonwalker”. Later he debuts in a film called “The Death Collectorand worked as a co-star in “Raging Bull.

His impressive performance earned him BAFTA Film Award for Newcomer in a Leading Role and also won him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1981. Joe Pesci was later casted in the movies like “Once Upon a time in America”, “Home Alone”, “Home Alone 2”, “Man on Fire”, “The Super”, “Jimmy Hollywood”, “With Honor” and many other since his first debut in 1984. 

He also appeared in many Tv series over the years. Pesci announced his retirement from acting in 1999 in order to pursue his career in music.

He was married for the first time in 1964, and after the failure of his first marriage, he again married Claudia Haro as his the second wife in 1988.
