Here's a disheartening news for Demi Lovato fans! Joe Jonas ex-girlfriend has been hospitalized in L.A. after suffering an apparent overdose of heroin, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed.

LAPD officer Ray Brown told in a press conference that on Tuesday, July 24, authorities responded to a home in Hollywood at 11:37 a.m. local time.

According to dispatch audio obtained, the 25-year-old Sorry Not Sorry singer was unconscious when paramedics arrived.

Sources reported that Demi was administered Narcan, which is used to treat narcotic overdoses in emergency situations. The condition of the songstress remains unknown.

Hours after Demi's hospitalization news emerged, the Jonas Brothers singer took to Twitter with a message for his close friend and ex-girlfriend, whom he briefly dated in 2010 and had split amicably.

Joe wrote, "Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now. She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi. #prayfordemi"

Here's the tweet, check it out.

The news comes just a month after Demi revealed in her new song Sober that she relapsed; in March, the songstress had celebrated six years of sobriety.

During the chorus of the emotional track,

Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And Daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor. To the ones who never left me / We’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.

Demi first checked into rehab in 2010, when she was only 18. She then entered a sober house for nearly a year in 2013.
