Joanna is a married woman. She has been married to the love of her life Chip Gaines since a long time. Chip Gaines is the owner of Magnolia Homes, a remodeling, and design business in Waco, TX alongside his wife. As a husband and wife, they have already welcomed four children together and they are named as Drake, Ella, Duke and Emmie Kay

In September 2017, the pair revealed that they are shutting Fixer Upper down after the fifth episode.
