The former wife of Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner had thought of leaving her acting career just for the sake of her three children but, she decided not to retire and now, after getting a Hollywood Walk of Fame, she remembers what stopped her from leaving?
The 46 years' old actress candidly talked about her retirement which she thought was a necessity after giving birth to three children in an interview with Variety. As Garnet said, giving birth to three children in just a span of seven years was more than enough to make her reconsider her career.
Before recalling a phone conversation with her agent, Patrick Whitesell, Jennifer Garner agreed on what having three kids have done to her.
Three kids just knocks you flat on your a***.
A chat with her then agent Patrick changed everything for her. She was about to leave her job but, a small chat changed her thought of leaving the industry.
Garner remembers what Patrick had said,
Patrick said, 'Either this is telephone call about you doing Dallas Buyers Club and how we're going to make that happen, or it's a telephone call about your retirement'
She was confused on what to do before that, but the single statement made her rethink her career.
That was a real moment of decision and clarity and I loved him for it because it forced me to say, 'OK, I am not ready to be home all the time'
All this decision making was based in 2012 after Jennifer gave birth to her third child. She took a break for six-months before thinking of leaving her job but again changed her decision to become both, a loving mother and a successful actor.
Her marital life with Ben brought her three children. She has two daughters and a son; Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6.
Garner received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame just a few days ago. She is also starring in the new movie, Peppermint, which is set to release on September 7. In the movie, she has played the role of a self-made killer to avenge her husband and child's homicide.

She is also set to star on a new HBO TV show, Camping. She will portray the role of Kathryn Siddell-Bauers, the lead role in the show.
While talking about her cast in Peppermint, Garner said that she had done so much action in the past and then, she started having babies.
It's hard on your body. So I was pregnant. I was nursing. I was recovering from those things and it took a long time.
Whatever role she portrays, her children just want her to get home and be a mom.
