Jennifer Garner wants a divorce from her estranged husband Ben Affleck sooner rather than later. The Alias star, 46, filed court documents to speed up the finalization of divorce from the actor, also 46.
According to Los Angeles County Superior Court documents Jennifer filed on Monday, October 1, the actress requested to have her divorce case pulled out so that a private judge can continue the process to finalize the divorce.
Jennifer and Ben started dating in 2004 after encountering on the sets of 2001’s Pearl Harbor and 2003’s Daredevil.
They married in June 2005, on the Turks and Caicos Islands. The estranged couple share three children, daughters Violet, 12, and Seraphina, 9, and son Samuel, 6.
They announced their split in June 2015, just a day after their 10th wedding anniversary. In a joint statement to Us Weekly, they said at the time,
After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to coparenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.
The 13 Going on 30 actress and the Justice League actor both filed for divorce in April 2017. The duo requested joint legal and physical custody of their kids.
Since their separation, Jennifer has been stalling the divorce proceedings as Ben worked on his sobriety. The actor checked into rehab on August 22. That was the third time he entered the sobriety home.
