Jeffrey P. Carman, one of the renowned intellectual property attorneys in Hollywood, died on February 13. He was 36.
His death was confirmed by his family. As for the cause of death, the family said in a statement that the lawyer died from natural causes in Victorville, California.
Carman served as an intern at ICM. He then worked for the Walt Disney Co., Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, Universal and Principato Young.
Carman, who was born in Pomona and raised in Claremont, California, was especially interested in animation when he was young.
Carman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history from UCLA in 2005. He then attended law school and received his JD, then graduated with a master's in entertainment law at Southwestern.
He is survived by his grandmother Julie; parents, Jeffrey and Nancy; two sisters Courtney and Emily; and brother-in-law Daylan.
A memorial service is set to take place at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on March 30 in the Abbey of the Psalms.
