Jeff Flake Says Country Better in the Hands of Democrat Than Trump

Former Republican Sen. Jeff Flake does not want the United States president Donald Trump to win for the second time. The 56 years old Jeff made a harsh comment recently, stating that he would prefer a Democrat rule the country than see Trump win the second time.

He stated that the administration has done enough damage internationally that is even difficult to sort out in four years. Further, he also went on to say this Thursday that the Republican party should not support Trump in 2020.

Jeff, who is identified as a Trump critic for a long time, upon the question, at an Intelligence Squared debate in New York City, if he would like to see a Democrat win if Trump is a Republican nominee said,

Yes ... and this notion, this narrative that's been built up, that Donald Trump is the only one that can cobble together the Electoral College and win is just a fallacy,

He further added,

I think that four years is difficult enough to unravel some of the damage that has been done internationally to our role, to our leadership position. We cannot, should not go another four years,

Moreover, Arizona Republican also went to condemn Trump for his policies in immigration and free trade and also his treatment of the media.

Starting a trade war is not conservative, Conservatives have, if there is any defining, animating principle that we have had in the party for generations now, it's free trade. And the President has really tossed that overboard."
