Jed Allan, 'Days of Our Lives' and 'Santa Barbara' Actor, Dies At Age 84

Jed Allan, a soap actor best known for his appearance in Beverly Hills, 90210 has died. He was 84.

His death was confirmed by his family. His son Rick Brown took to Facebook and confirmed that his father passed away on Saturday, March 9, in Palm Desert, Californi.

Rick wrote,

So sorry to post the very sad news of my father’s passing tonight. “He died peacefully and was surrounded by his family and loved so much by us and so many others. Thank you for all who are part of this wonderful tribute to my dad on Facebook.

His cause of death is yet to be disclosed.

Allan portrayed the father of Steve Sanders (played by Ian Ziering), Rush Sanders, on Beverly Hills, 90210.

Besides, the actor was also best known for his roles as Capwell on Santa Barbara and Don Craig in Days of Our Lives

Shortly after his death news surfaced, multiple stars including his Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars, paid tribute to him via social media sites.

Ziering took to Instagram on Monday, March 11, to pay respect to the late star. He wrote, "So sad to hear we've lost another 90210 castmate."

He added,

I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve's father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed. #ripjedallan

Allan's passing comes just a week after another Beverly Hills, 90210 Luke Perry passed away after suffering a massive stroke. He was 58.
