Jean Aubuchon Cinader, the actress of the 1940s Broadway comedy Dream Girl, has died at the age of 96.
A representative for the family confirmed her death to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, February 22. The rep said passed away on February 5 in Los Angeles of natural causes.
Jean was born on August 9, 1922, in St. Louis, Missouri to Cliff Aubuchon and Lucille Aubuchon. She was trained as an actress in NYC.
The actress appeared in more than 100 television commercials. She co-starred in Dream Girl in December 1945. (Do not get confused with the popular musical Dreamgirls.)
The original Broadway production of the Elmer Rice comedy ran for 348 performances on before a touring production followed.
Jean, who was a supporter of animal welfare and environmental protection causes, was a longtime Los Angeles resident.
Jean was married to Adam-12 producer Robert A. Cinader for 31 years - until his death in 1982.
