Won Public Broadcasting's Award

In the year 1996, Allison won the Public Broadcasting’s Award for his remarkable contributions to public radio. He has also won many awards for his work in industry including Public Radio News Director’s Leo C. Lee award.


Used to be theatre director

In the early 1970s he used to be theatre director, before coming to broadcasting. While being theatre director, he used to run a storefront theatre in Washington, DC and also he used to work used many other theatres in New York City.


Working with The Moth

Allison is currently working with the group The Moth. This group is involved in producing a national series in public radio and this group resides at New York. This group is famous for receiving the 2010 Peabody Award.


In these last thirty years, Allison has produced many essays and documentaries, and series for national and international broadcast which has honored him with many awards. He is also the co-producer of Lost & Found Sound, The Sonic Memorial Project, and Hidden Kitchens and also the Director of Atlantic Public Media.
