Brittany Kerr's second child has come out as an extreme surprise! Jason Aldean says that he and his wife, who is pregnant with the couple's second child, had planned IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) to have their kids close together.

Of the timing of the baby on the way, the country music singer exclusively told PEOPLE, "It was definitely something we had planned".

He further added,

After having our son, we knew we wanted to have two kids. I have my two older daughters already, so after Memphis was born we knew we wanted to have another one pretty quick — to go ahead and knock it out and have one that was a little closer in age to him.

Jason, 41, continued,

I would much rather knock it out now while we’re used to having one in diapers and formula and all of that. I think it’s tougher when you get out of that and wait a couple years and then have to go redo it all. … We just wanted them to be close in age, and we figured we’re already in that mindset now, so why not?

The country crooner further revealed that he and his 31-year-old wife, once again, underwent in vitro fertilization for their second child.

Noting the sex of the baby, he said, "We did IVF with our son, so we had to do that again with this one. We knew what was going on."

Although the proud parents, who welcomed their first child, son Memphis, 7-month, on December 1, went into this pregnancy similarly to the first, the couple has been facing some differences since they find out they were expecting again.

Jason said,

With my son, Brittany didn’t have any sickness at all, but with [this] baby she’s been pretty sick for the last few weeks, so we’ll see. Maybe she’s starting to turn the corner a little bit, but it’s definitely been a different kind of feel for her this time.

The upcoming baby will be the second for Brittany but Jason will become a father of four. Besides, Memphis, he also has two daughters, Keeley Williams, 15, and Kendyl Williams, 10, with his ex-wife Jessica Aldean, whom he married on August 4, 2001, and got a divorce in 2013.

Shortly after ending his relationship with Jessica, Jason started an affair with Brittany and eventually got married on March 21, 2015, after one year of dating.
