Janet Jackson has called the police on Saturday, May 2 to check on the welfare of her 17-month-old son Eissa Al Mana, multiple sources have confirmed.
According to a commander with the Malibu County Sheriff’s office, the Grammy-winning songstress made the call before 10 p.m. and at the time the 1-year-old child was with his father and Janet’s estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana at the Nobu hotel in Malibu, California.
Authorities went to the Hotel to check on the boy and the commander told the media “Deputies were there and the child was OK so we left”.
Janet's brother Randy Jackson told Entertainment Tonight that the pop star was concerned after their nanny grew “terrified” by her estranged husband’s behavior and “locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet.”
The duo’s split was confirmed in April 2017, about three months after the birth of Eissa.
Jackson quietly married the Qatari businessman in 2012 but they largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
Speaking with Billboard for a cover story in May, Janet spoken out about how becoming a mom helped her find “peace” in life.
She told the outlet,
Day after day and night after night, holding my baby in my arms, I am at peace. I am blessed. I feel bliss. In those moments, all is right with the world.
