Jameis Winston Instigates Fight As Bucs' Mike Evans Blindsides Saints' Marshon Lattimore

Not sure what’s actually happening in the NFL, but players are feeling feisty this Sunday. There was a brief fight in the NFL South matchup between New Orleans and Tampa Bay, just minutes after AJ Green’s takedown of Jalen Ramsey in the Cincinnati Bengals-Jacksonville Jaguars game.

Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston, who was knocked out of the game because of an injury in his throwing shoulder, came off the bench to point and has appeared to talk some trash to Marshon Lattimore, New Orleans rookie cornerback.

As Marshon was walking away, Jameis foolishly poked him in the back of the helmet. Marshon turned and pushed Jameis with one hand.

Then out of nowhere, Tempa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans came flying in and jumped into Marshon’s back, pushing him hard and knocking him face-first into the Superdome turf. That, undoubtedly, led to some punches being thrown during the brief fight.

Inexplicably, Mike was not tossed from the game. And Jameis was in the wrong as well, leaving the bench to go onto the field and antagonize Marshon. The Bucs were down 30-3 at the time and ended up losing 30-10.

After the game, Mike was contrite about his actions, calling them “childish.” He said, “I let my emotions get the best of me,”.
