Well, his career as a general assignment reporter began from WPVI-TV in 1996. Not many of us can imagine ourselves working in the same company for so many years, but Matt has been doing it. Hope you all are enjoying watching The Players Championship. I played TPC Sawgrass-Stadium Course back in March and I'm certain you want to know how I scored on the famous 17th hole. Watch the video, and here's a recap: - Tee shot was 125 yards with a back pin and heavy wind right to left. I decided to try and half-chop a 9 iron towards the right side of the green. I hooked it instead, landing it in the water a full 20 yards left of the green (you can see the splash in the video). - I decided to try again with the same club. I hit it straight this time but caught some turf before the ball, missing the green short right (again, you can see the splash in the video). - Now lying 4, I chipped from the drop zone, leaving my ball on the far side of the green, nearly putting it into the water a third time. - I two-putted for a 7. Bottom line: the 17th requires a near perfect tee shot to land and hold the green. And the wind makes it terrifying!
