For her amazing work in the fields of sports media, Burke has been honored multiple times. She is the recipient of 2003 USA Today Rudy Award. In 2004, she was respected with induction into the IIS Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame.
In the following year, she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Providence College, the same college where she was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 1999. She has also been inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in October 2006.
In the same year, Burke gained a membership of the North Providence Hall of Fame. Similarly, she also won other awards and achievements in 2012.
