Grimes a Canadian musician born as Claire Elise Boucher, on March 17, 1988. She was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia as a Roman Catholic. Claire is Canadian by nationality and White in ethnicity. She attended Catholic school. When Boucher relocated from Vancouver to Montreal, she attended McGill University, but she left her schooling incomplete.

Claire began writing music and called herself Grimes after discovering the grime music and the genre on Myspace. Starting her career in 2009, her first debut album under the Grimes were; Geidi Primes.

Elise Boucher is a progressive artist, who produced her new soundtrack “Go,” featuring Blood Diamonds; this song was written for Rihanna, but the talented Rihanna rejected it.

Recently in the fall of 2016, Grimes with a friend Hana Pestle, commonly known by the stage name HANA released “The AC!D Reign Chronicles,” a lo-fi series of seven music videos including songs by Grimes.

In 2017, Grimes premiered on “Tidal” the high budget futuristic music video starring herself and Janelle Monáe. Aside from Music, she is interested towards Visual Art and Directing.

Boucher has a step-brother  Jay Worthy, who is a rapper. the sister and brother collaborated on the song “Christmas Song.”  As a successful music composer and writer Grimes receives a good salary and her current net worth is $5 million. 

She was in a relation with Deven Welsh and presently dating James Bollks. Till now, she is not married.
