Green Valley Ranch Shooting: Security Guards Killed an Armed Man in Vegas Casino-Resort

Security guards shot and killed an armed man during a confrontation in Green Valley Ranch resort in Las Vegas on Sunday, December 30.

Police told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the man, whose name and identification has not been revealed, was walking through the casino-resort at about 3:40 p.m. when people told security guards of the resort that he was carrying a handgun.

Authorities said that three guards confronted the man after which the culprit drew his weapon, and in a result, two of the guards shot the man.

The man received medical care at the resort but later died. No one else got injured during the incident.

According to Henderson Police Department Lt. Kirk Moore, it's unknown if the man shot his gun or how many shots were fired.

The Green Valley Ranch Resort is owned by gaming company Station Casinos. When an email was sent seeking for information, Station Casinos spokesperson Lori Nelson didn't immediately respond.
