Tania Mallet, a veteran actress best known for portraying bond girl, Tilly Masterson, in the James Bond film Goldfinger (1964) alongside Sean Connery, has died. She was 77.
The official James Bond Twitter account shared a sad statement on Sunday, March 31, to confirm her death.
The statement reads, "We are very sorry to hear that Tania Mallet who played Tilly Masterson in GOLDFINGER has passed away." It added, "Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time."

Mallett was born on May 19, 1941, in Blackpool, England, to a British father, Henry Mallet, and a Russian mother, Olga Mironoff.
Mallet initially auditioned for the role of Tatiana Romanova in From Russia With Love in 1957, but the role was given to Italian actress Daniela Bianchi.
But she was later cast in Goldfinger opposite Sean Connery. The 1964 movie marked the third Bond film.
