Speaking out the truth! It's been one week that Gina Rodriguez and Joe LoCicero sparked their engagement rumors ad the Jane the Virgin star has finally confirmed that her longtime boyfriend had proposed her for marriage.

Gina told Us Weekly on Tuesday, August 7, "I have a very, very special man in my life. I am engaged. You’re the first people that I’ve told."

The actress, who have currently been working with Always #EndPeriodPoverty and Feeding America in order to donate feminine products to underprivileged females, explained, "It’s wonderful blessings like that, that make me realize that if I have an opportunity to help someone else, I want to."

Gina further added that the project is “the reason why I’m working days after my engagement.”

She continued,

This is important. I have been very, very blessed including being blessed with a very incredible man that understands that during my time of the month, I should be protected and cared for and loved and celebrated and he does that every single time, every single month. It’s really great to be apart the campaign that makes sure all women feel that way because I have a man in my house that makes me feel that way. I am marrying a feminist. I am marrying a man that is incredible and loving and understanding and kind and patient. I’m marrying a really incredible human being. That what it is. I met a human that like, knows he’s a human.

As we previously reported, multiple sources confirmed on July 30 that the Gina, 34, and Joe, 31, became engaged.

The engagement rumors first surfaced last month when the reality star posted a photo of herself wearing a diamond ring on Instagram.

Quoting artist Frida Kahlo, she captioned the picture at the time, "‘They thought I was a Surrealist, but I wasn’t. I never painted dreams. I painted my own reality.’"

Check it out.

The couple first met in 2016 when Joe appeared on an episode of the hit CW show, and they eventually started dating.

The actor publicly supported his girlfriend during the Screen Actors Guild Awards earlier this year and the Emmy Awards in September 2017.

The newly engaged couple was spotted locking lips while walking the 2018 Oscars red carpet in March.
