A young Georgia couple, namely Courtney Marie Bell and Christopher McNabb, were pleaded guilty for murdering their infant child, authorities have confirmed.
As per the report, the pair killed their 15 days old daughter, Caliyah, while they were high on meth drug in 2017.
According to a FOX 5 Atlanta report, the parents of the baby would face harsh sentences for the death of the baby.
Christopher was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 10 years. His wife, meanwhile, was sentenced to 30 years in prison and she has also got a 10-year sentence to serve concurrently.
The jury convicted Christopher and Courtney in an hour.
The pair initially filed a missing report for the baby but the girl was later found in a bag belonged to the father.
During the sentencing, the mother said, "Y’all know I didn’t do this."
As per the report, Superior Court Judge John Ott told Courtney that her actions "flies in the face of what any mother would do" by using meth.
It's unknown how the parents killed the infant.
