George H.W. Bush is 'Laid to Rest'! The former U.S. president was buried in College Station, Texas, on Thursday, December 6, one week after his death.
The late 41st president's friends and family members attended the service at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas, before his dead body traveled to College Station via the Union Pacific 4141 train.
According to The New York Times, Union Pacific official Mike Iden told the publication that Bush wanted his body to travel from his Houston funeral to the burial site of the College Station.
One day earlier, multiple political figures including Prince Charles, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, joined the Bush family to pay respect to Bush at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
His son George W. Bush gave an emotional eulogy during the funeral service on December 5, calling him "the best father a son or daughter could have".
Bush Senior passed away on November 30, after 10 p.m., almost 8 months after his wife Barbara Bush's death. Bush was 94.
He is survived by five children, including Jeb Bush and George Bush Junior, and his 14 grandchildren.
