Frank Sinatra's First Wife, Nancy Sinatra Sr. Dies at 101

The first wife of the legendary actor, singer, and producer Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra Sr. died on Friday, July 13. She was aged 101

The eldest daughter of Nancy Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra Jr. confirmed the news of the lady's death on her Twitter profile on July 13 stating that her mother passed away peacefully that night at the age of 101.

She also went on to add that Nancy was the blessing and the light of her life. 

The same day, Nancy also posted another post that read, 

For you, Mom.

The page links to the page of the Sinatra Family where the front page is covered with her mother, Nancy Barbato Sinatra's photo. Below the photo is her name with her birth date, March 25, 1917, and her death date, July 13, 2018.

And after that, there was a beautiful message from her children. The message read, 

Godspeed, Momma and than you for everything you did for us and for the world. 

On her website, Nancy Jr. also revealed the time of her peaceful demise which was at around 6.02 p.m

Stating that the content was the saddest post, she had ever had to write, Nancy Jr. said that her mother had fought a hard battle to remain on this earth but time got the better of her. 

On her Twitter profile with a photo of the deceased's 101 birthday, she wrote, 

My sister and I thank you all for your very thoughtful message of condolence. Our mother was a fighter until the end when her brave, loving heart gave out. 

The lady went on to add, 

She is survived by her sister, her daughters, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She made a difference.  

Nancy Sr. born as Nancy Barbato first met Frank when both of them were in their teenage days. The pair met in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1930s when Frank worked there as a lifeguard. Frank got married to Nancy after he was arrested for an incident at The Rustic Cabin

The pair walked down the aisle in 1939 in New Jersey when they lived for years. With Frank, she had given birth to three children, Nancy Jr., Frank Jr., and Tina

The couple had parted their ways after Frank's headline-making extramarital affair came to the rise. During her divorce, she was 33 and had been given full custody of her children, a home, a Cadillac car, and also a percentage of his wealth.
