A 4 years old boy from Minnesota died in a car on Saturday after the child's father, Kristopher Taylor, left for work leaving him in a hot SUV for hours, authorities have reported.
As per the report, the child was already dead in a car and showing signs of decomposition as his father returned to the SUV at around 5:15 p.m. Taylor, who comes from Apple Valley, worked Grillfest event at CHS Field in St. Paul. on the day of the incident.
Taylor allegedly reported that he had no one to look after his son. He also claimed of leaving the car's window open and giving him a hand-held video game. As of now, the 26-year-old is charged with second-degree manslaughter.
Also, KFGO has also alleged Taylor of lying as he, according to KFGO, initially told police that he left his son in the car for 2 1/2 hours and later admitted of leaving him at around 11:30 a.m. before returning back at 5:15 p.m.
After further investigation into the case, authorities reported that the temperature inside the car could have exceeded over 130 degrees in direct sunlight as the recorded temperature on the day of the incident had reached around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
While the child's father rushed the kid to the hospital immediately after his arrival, the hospital pronounced him dead on arrival.
Further decisions on the case are yet to be made.
