Sidney Jay Sheinberg, former President and COO of Universal Studios and MCA Inc died this Thursday on 8th March 2019 at his private residence located in Beverly Hills.
The message was conveyed by Sidney's son Jonathan Sheinberg, who confirmed the news to the media via an email.
In the mail, he wrote
He was an amazing man
He also remembered Sheinberg's contribution to the Hollywood industry and the lives he affected with his philanthropy.

The cause of death hasn't been revealed by the family yet.
Born on 14th January 1935, Sidney Sheinberg was professionally a lawyer and an entertainment executive.
Sidney Sheinberg helped Universal Studios and MCA Inc wade through stages of prosperity and helped expand the company's business by publishing divisions and building theme parks.
He was the mastermind behind the sales of franchising rights to the Japanese firm, Matsushita in 1989, which was sold at $6 billion.
Amongst his endeavors, Sidney is best known for nurturing the directing skills of famous producer and director Steven Spielberg by bringing him in the studios to work with films like Jaws and The Sugarland Express.

Starting his career in 1958, Sidney Sheinberg served Hollywood and the entertainment industry for almost 60 years.
