He clearly mentioned that is returning to the ring, not for any other person but Mcgregor. He is not fighting Keith Thurman or Errol Spence or any other recent day boxing champions like Canelo Alvarez or Gennady Golovkin.
Mayweather has cleared the air and said he is ready to fight Conor and announced, He will fight the notorious one who is the recent UFC lightweight champion and former featherweight champion.
Everybody get your phone out," Mayweather said. "Post this to the internet as soon as possible.
This request has been well heard as the media has been publishing the news ever since.
When I faced Arturo Gatti [in 2005 in Atlantic City, N.J.], I went to his turf," Mayweather said. "He was the A-side. I was the B-side. I beat him. I didn't cry. I didn't complain. When I faced Oscar De La Hoya [in Las Vegas in 2007], he was the A-side and I was the B-side. I didn't cry. I didn't complain. I beat him and I became the A-side.
Conor should be more than happy to hear it as he has been waiting for a big fight after winning the lightweight championship. But there is a small indication that shit may hit the fan as well because Conor is looking to fight Mayweather in September.
Though he is taking the boxing match with the undefeated boxer seriously and is reported to be taking lessons from another legend Mike Tyson the fight dates can be problematic. We hope this fight happens and fans who got really disappointed on Tony VS Habib fight get to see what they deserve "A Great Fight" where Boxing Clashes with MMA as both fighters are ready to go tow to tow at the possible event.
