Florida Yoga Studio Shooting, which took place on Friday, November 2, left three people dead including the gunman and at least five others injured, multiple sources have confirmed.
The Tallahassee Police Department identified the culprit as Scott Paul Beierle, 40, from Deltona, Florida.
According to CNN, he opened fire at the Hot Yoga Tallahassee studio after pistol-whipping a man upon entering. Tallahassee Police Chief Michael DeLeo told media that the suspect then fatally shot himself.
As per the report, members of the class fought the gunman off in an attempt to save themselves and others.
Michael told Reuters reporters, "There were indications that several people not only fought back but tried to save other people."

According to the schedule on the studio’s website, just moments after a hot yoga flow class was set to begin, a person made a 911 call regarding the incident at 5:37 p.m. on Friday evening,
The two victims, who were killed in the shooting, are identified as Nancy Van Vessem, 61, and Maura Binkley, 21.
Following the shooting, Mayor Andrew Gillum said,
The truth is that these occurrences have become far too frequent in our society. I would ask that the community continue to lift up the victims, those who are still recovering from their injuries.
As per the report, one victim was shot nine times while another had a bullet pass through her body. However, they all are in stable condition at a local hospital. Other three victims have been released from medical care.
This latest shooting comes just a week after a gunman opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on October 27 which left 11 people killed and six injured.
