Exene Cervenka is an American singer, artist, and poet, known for her work as a singer in the California punk rock band X. Cervenka moved to Tallahassee, Florida with her family, where she lived from age 13 to 20. Cervenka dropped out of high school. After her mother died, she raised her sisters. Cervenka moved to Santa Monica, California, in the summer of 1976.
Cervenka was married to John Doe from 1980 to 1985. She met her second husband, Viggo Mortensen, in 1986 on the set of the comedy Salvation! a parody of televangelism. Mortensen played her husband, Jerome. They married on July 8, 1987. On January 28, 1988, Cervenka gave birth to a child (son) Henry Blake Mortensen. Mortensen and Cervenka lived in Idaho for three years.They separated in 1992 and were divorced in 1997.
She married musician Jason Edge. They are now divorced. She moved from Los Angeles to Jefferson City, Missouri and returned to Southern California. She recently lived in Orange County. Jason Edge her divorced husband is a radio broadcaster and television presenter from New Zealand. He experience on radio led to a short television career in 2004 and 2005, co-hosting his own show on TV1 called Headliners, as well as voiceover work for other TV shows. At the end of 2005, his contract with TVNZ was terminated after Headliners was axed as part of a revamp of the TV1 News Service.
At the end of 2004, Reeves left The Edge, reportedly as a result of a prank carried out by his breakfast co-hosts Jay-Jay Feeney and Dominic Harvey. Jay-Jay and Dom started sending Jason text messages from a prepaid cellphone pretending to be a fan who had somehow managed to obtain Jason's number. Over 100 texts were sent and management of The Edge was aware such a prank was going on.
