Eva Longoria became a mom for the first time after giving birth to her son Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston on 19th June. And recently, she spoke out about her personal connection with migration families separating.

The Desperate Housewives star went on to Instagram on Friday and had a very sentimental message to share regarding her feeling. Featuring a photo of herself and her newborn baby, she wrote in the captions:

Hello world! I introduce to you Santiago Enrique Bastón. Thank you everyone for showering my baby boy with all your warm wishes! Special thanks to @usahola. In light of my son’s birth I wanted to bring focus on the families that have been separated at the border.

She added:

Having my son next to me, I cannot imagine him being taken from my arms. Families belong together which is why we must do what we can to reunite them. That’s why I am supporting @raicestexas and @aclu_nationwide to help fund legal services for separated families (link in bio) #KeepFamiliesTogether

She is not the only celebrity who is on the wagon to speak out about the border crisis. Other stars who have spoken out about the matter are Oprah Winfrey, Judd Apatow, Mindy Kaling, Jim Carrey, Jessica Chastain, Tim Robbins, Reese Witherspoon and many others.

Moreover, Longoria who gave birth to her first child on Thursday was profoundly touched, and it seems that she could not resist the urge to speak out on the topic.
