Eunetta Boone, Creator and Showrunner of 'One on One' and 'Raven’s Home' Dies At Age 63

A sad news for the television writing community! Eunetta T. Boone, a beteran comedy writer/producer and screenwriting teacher best known for creating One on One and Raven’s Home, has died. He was 63.

She was found dead in her apartment Los Angeles on Wednesday morning and as for the cause of death, reports suggested that she passed away after suffering a heart attack.

Boone had been working as showrunner and executive producer on the season 3 of Raven’s HomeRaven-Symoné is the actor and executive producer of the Disney Channel hit sitcom.

Following the death news of Boone emerged, Disney Channel released a statement to pay tribute to her.

The statement reads,

Eunetta Boone was a wonderful person and a consummate storyteller and teacher, and through her leadership on many productions including Raven’s Home, she did so well what she enjoyed most — mentoring creative talent. Eunetta will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew her. All of us at Disney Channel grieve her passing and send our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

In light of her death, Raven’s Home production was shut down for the remainder of this week.

Of her death Raven-Symoné shared an Instagram post writing,

My heart is heavy following the loss of Raven’s Home executive producer Eunetta Boone. Eunetta was a pioneer and an inspiration to everyone she met. She was a masterful storyteller, an empathetic leader and a beacon of light to so many. I’m sending love and my deepest sympathies to Eunetta’s family and friends and all who knew and loved her. She will be missed. Thank you for everything Eunetta.

Boone was a rising television comedy writer in the 1990s and early 2000s. Raven’s Home marked a return to TV for her.

She working on multiple popular series such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Parent ‘HoodLiving Single, My Wife and Kids and The Hughleys.

She is survived by her mother, Eunice Taylor; sister, Regina Ward; nieces, MaKenna Ward and Breawna Taylor.
