Ellie Goulding Gets Engaged to Boyfriend Caspar Jopling After Nine Years of Dating

Ellie Goulding is all set to get married to boyfriend Caspar Jopling! The songstress, 31, and the former athlete, 26, have become engaged on Monday, August 6, after more than one year of dating.

The couple announced the exciting news in a statement published in The Times on Tuesday, August 7.

The statement reads,

The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon. Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs. Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr. Arthur Goulding of Herefordshire and Mrs. Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.

The Love Me Like You Do singer, 31 was first linked with Caspar in March 2017 and eventually started an affair.

The lovebirds recently went for a trip between London and New York City in order to spend a quality time together.

In July the pop star told London Evening Standard, "We’re really, really happy together. I’m loving my life at the moment."

Caspar was only 18 when he represented the Great Britain Rowing Team at the Youth Olympics in 2010. He has studied art history and has currently been working for Sotheby’s in New York.

Ellie explained to Evening Standard, "People keep saying Caspar is a Team GB rower. It’s kind of got out of hand now, but we find it really funny. He is most definitely an art dealer now."

The Grammy-nominee singer, who performed at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in April 2011, has a long list of boyfriends.

She previously dated Greg James (2009 - 2011), Skrillex (2012), Jeremy Irvine (2012 - 2013), Calvin Harris (2013), Ed Sheeran (2013), Luke Friend (2013), Dougie Poynter (2013 - 2016), Bobby Rich (2016).
