Edwin got career success raising from a very poor family of Pennsylvania. It was his fortunate that he got a good voice by birth.He began singing professionally at the age of 12 and by the end of  1968, he gave numbers of hit songs and album in the pop music industry. Debuting at the local radio show, he hosted his own TV show and appeared as a guest artist in top Television series.He also worked for U.S army and served as a vocalist for the "The United States Army Band ".

This successful artist was in affairs with numbers of girls and married with five women. He has altogether four children from two wives. He married  Debbie Reynolds, singer, and actress for the first time and have two children with her: Carrier and Todd. He began an affair with Elizabeth Taylor and got married her after getting a divorce with Reynolds.thier married life continued for five years and fisher was married to Connied Stevens, Terry Richard, and Betty Lin  .he has two children with Stevens. Although this rock and roll singer got married to five women he was all alone at the last stage of his life.

At the time of his death, it was reported that his estimated net worth was  $30 million US dollar. He collected all his worth from selling millions of his records performing in different television series and hosting his own TV show.

Born on 1928


 He was born on 10 August 10,1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.  His birth name was Edwin John  Fisher. He spent his childhood life in poverty and started singing dropping out from his  high school to help his parents.

Began singing from 1940


In 1940, he was  12-year-old and he began singing professionally from the same age. It was his debut on a local Philadelphia radio station WFIL’s program “When I Grow Up”. After then he started performing on different local radio shows.

Served as vocalist in U.S. Army from 1951


 He was drafted into the U.S.Army  in 1951 and served as official vocal soloist for “The United States Army Band “ from the year 1952 to 1953. Before he served a  year in Korea after getting basic training in Fort Hood, Texas.

 During the period of the early 1950s, he was regarded as a teen idol and he had 17 sons in the Top 10 on the music charts. His strong and melodious voice was liked by all during that time.

He was married to five ladies in his lifetime. He got married to Debbie Reynolds for the first time in 1955 and Elizabeth Taylor, Connie Stevens, Terry Richard and Betty Lin respectively after divorced with each.

  He wrote an autobiography, Eddie: My Life My Loves in the year of 1981 and also published another autobiography in 1999 titled Been There, Done That. He wrote about his singing career in his later autobiography.

Died on September 22, 2010


 He died at the age of 82 at his home in Berkeley, California on September 22, 2010. It was after 13 days after he broke his hip. It is reported that he died because of the complication from hip surgery.
