Tragic Loss to Family! A Louisiana woman who died by drowning in a neighborhood pond in Living Parish on Wednesday has been identified as CNN anchor Don Lemon’s elder sister L’Tanya “Leisa” Lemon Grimes and she was 58-year-old, officials have confirmed.
Officials said L'Tanya may have tripped and fallen into the water while fishing and no foul play is suspected, reported a local ABC affiliate WBRZ News 2.

The Lemon/Grimes family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers at this time. Our family has suffered the tragic loss of L’Tanya ‘Leisa’ Lemon Grimes. We are leaning on each other for strength at this time. We appreciate privacy as we grieve the loss of our loved one.
The 51-year-old also paid tribute to his sister with a tweet on Thursday.
Thanks everyone for your words of sympathy. Please keep my family in your prayers. Leisa was my oldest sister & partner in crime growing up. Always had my back. #RIPbigSis.

A representative for the CNN anchor said that Lemon won't appear on CNN Tonight on Thursday.
On Thursday, Lemon also posted an uplifting video starring a handful of adorable children giving a “breaking news” report about why “black excellence is at an all-time high.”
It’s not the first tragedy Lemon and his family have faced but in 2010 Lemon revealed that he had been molested as a child.
