David Ramsey is an American actor best known for his role as Anton Briggs in the Showtime TV series Dexter. He is also famous for his role as Joseph in Mother and Child (2009), and as John Diggle in the CW TV show Arrow.
David was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 17, 1971, to mother Jeraldine Ramsey and father Nathaniel Ramsey. Ramsey holds an American nationality and belongs to Black ethnicity. He finished his studies at Wayne State University.
Ramsey was initially interested in martial arts and had also decided to pursue his career as a fighter. However, eventually, his interest shifted towards acting.
Ramsey started his acting career in 1987 from a small role as George Masterson in the movie Sacred Stiff. In 1996, he appeared in The Nutty Professor as a student and in A Very Brady Sequel as Brent, a lifeguard.
