David Letterman Debuts in a New Netflix series with His First Guest Barack Obama

Two of the most missed people- Barack Obama and David Letterman, during the current political situation, will be seen back together at the same time on January 12. Last week, Netflix announced that the former CBS's Late Show host Letterman will return to television with new Netflix show My Guest Needs No Introduction.

The first episode that will air on Friday will feature the former US President Barack Obama. This will be the first appearance of Obama in any talk show since he left White House. He a clip released, Obama talks about his life after Presidency, his daughter Sasha Obama, the current political situation of US and implications of Russia’s alleged attempts to intervene in the 2016 presidential election. However, they never mentioned about Donald Trump in their show.

Obama said:

One of the biggest challenges we have to our democracy is the degree to which we don’t share a common baseline of facts. What the Russians exploited, but it was already here, is we are operating in completely different information universes. If you watch Fox News, you are living on a different planet than you are if you listen to NPR.

The clip started with an interview from the Late Show on May 4, 2015, when Letterman interviewed Obama for the last time. 

The six-episode special series includes the famous and impressive guests like George Clooney, Tina Fey, Malala Yousafzai, Howard Stern and Jay-Z.
