David Eason and Jenelle Evans are being investigated by child protection officials after he shot and killed the actress' French bulldog, Nugget, multiple sources have confirmed.

According to a The Blast report, the Columbus County Department of Social Services in North Carolina received a call from someone and complained that David and Jenelle's children could be in danger.

As per the report, the caller told authorities that they believed the children, their daughter, Ensley, 2, and the MTV personality's two sons from previous relationships, Jace, 9, and Kaiser, 4, could have PTSD or mental health problems like depression.

However, a representative for the actress denies they are under investigation.

As we previously reported, David, 30, shot and killed his wife’s dog. He admitted to shooting the dog claiming that it had bitten Ensley.

Kaiser was in the care of her while Jace was on a cruise with his grandmom when the incident occurred.

Following the shooting, sources reported that Jenelle was considering a divorce from her husband who she married in September 2017.
