Danica Patrick Makes History: She Will Be the First Woman to Host ESPY Awards

Let us introduce you to the host of the 2018 ESPY Awards; Danica Patrick.  ESPN has announced on Tuesday, May 22 that the 36-year-old racing driver will be hosting the annual award ceremony, marking herself in history as the first female to take the prestigious role.

Its 26th year the and biggest sports stars will gather to celebrate achievements in athletic performance at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on July 18.

The professional race car driver took to Instagram on Tuesday to tease the history-changing announcement, writing,

ESPN previously announced that the sexual abuse survivors, who had spoken out against Larry Nassar - a convicted Team USA gymnastics doctor, will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.
