Brandon Church, Country singer Eric Church’s brother, has died at the age of 36 on Friday, June 29.
The exact Brandon's cause of death has not been known yet, however, according to Eric and his father Ken Church, Brandon suffered “multiple seizures” before passing away at his home in Granite Falls, North Carolina.
While he had been transported to the hospital, Brandon reportedly suffered another seizure, that may have sent him into cardiac arrest. Chris Jenkins, Granite Falls Police Department Chief says that no foul play has been suspected.
In a statement to Us Weekly on Thursday, July 5, the singer's representative said,
It is with great sadness that the Church family confirms that Eric’s brother, Brandon, passed away Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, please leave a message for the family and/or make a donation to a Scholarship Memorial Fund created in Brandon’s memory.
The Brandon E. Church Memorial Scholarship Fund has raised more than $25,000 in within a week.
Brandon cowrote multiple songs with Eric, 41, including How ‘Bout You from Eric’s debut album Sinners Like Me 2006 and Without You Here from his 2009 record Carolina.
He also has a sister named Kendra. Eric is scheduled to perform in Fort Loramie, Ohio, on Saturday, July 7, according to his website.
Rest In Peace Brandon!
