    Chuck McCann, Comic Actor and Popular Kids’ TV Show Host, Dies at Age 83

    Chuck McCann, Popular kids' TV show host, comedian, actor,  puppeteer and voice-over artist, has died at the age of 83 on Sunday, April 8 in Los Angelas, multiple sources have confirmed.

    The versatile personality's publicist Edward Lozzi has said that Chuck died from congenital heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.

    McCann was born 2 September 1934 in Brooklyn, New York City and later in the 1970s, he moved to Los Angeles and made guest appearances on shows numerous shows including Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Columbo.

    Chuck eventually began an animation acting career, voicing Mayor Grafton on The Garfield Show and reprising Duckworth in DuckTales: Remastered.

    Chuck also played Heff Heffalump in Disney's The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

    He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fanning, a son Sean McCann Chuck McCann and two daughters, Siobhan McCann and Jennifer McCann.
