K-pop band BTS has made U.S. music history. The seven-member boyband has become successful to earn the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with their latest album, Love Yourself: Tear that has recently been released.
And, of course, their album has been marked as the first K-pop album ever to be on Atop the U.S. charts.

According to the Billboard reports, the megapopular South Korean boy band dropped the Love Yourself: Tear album on May 18, and sold 135,000 equivalent album units (Of that, 100,000 were traditional album sales).
This is only the second time a K-pop album has even made it into the top 10 of the Billboard 200. The first album, Love Yourself: Her, was also from the BTS and it was debuted in September 2017 and peaked at no. 7 in the following month.
The album has been breaking records for foreign-language releases overall.
BTS' latest album is the first foreign-language album to become successful to reach no. 1 since 2006 when Il Divo's Ancora topped the chart. Ancora features tracks sung primarily in Italian, Spanish, French, and English.
