Bruce Tufeld, Hollywood Agent and Personal Manager, Dies at Age 66

Bruce Tufeld, the Hollywood agent and personal manager who repped multiple stars including Laura DernJim Beaver and Rob Lowe, has died at the age of 66.

As for his cause of death, he died of complications from liver cancer on Tuesday, January 16, in Los Angeles.

Bruce, who was the son of respected television personality Richard "Dick" Tufeld and Adrienne Tufeld, started his career as an assistant at ICM under renowned agent Sue Mengers, who worked as an representative for celebrities like Cher, Candice Bergen, Brian De Palma, Ali MacGrawFaye Dunaway, Barbra Streisand and Steve McQueen.

Mengers had also worked for the late Boogie Nights actor, Burt Reynolds, who died in from a heart attack back in September 2018.

Bruce was promoted from an assistant to an agent in 1978.

Bruce Tufeld, who was born Bruce Justin Tufeld on July 28, 1952, completed his graduation from the Rexford School in Beverly Hills. He then attended Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where he earned his bachelor of science degree in television, radio & film.

The late personal manager is survived by his wife, Emily; children Jason (Lindsay) and Amanda (David); granddaughter Penelope; and siblings Craig, Lynn and Melissa.
