The American back-up dancer Kevin Federline is requesting the pay rise in child support for his 2 sons: Sean Preston, 12, and Jayden James, 11, shared with the Toxic singer and ex-wife Britney Spears.
Currently, he receives $20,000 per month from Spears in child support since the legal statement made in 2008. Though, Federline is now on the way to demand 3 times more child support after he filed the court documents this Tuesday stating his income is less than 1 percent of Spears'.
In the document, Federline claims he earns $3,000 a month( approx. $36,000 annually), while the American singer makes over $34,000,000 per year.
Federline's advocate, the celebrity divorce lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told People.com:
"We think the reasonable needs for the children while they would be in Kevin’s custody is probably 3 times what he’s currently receiving. We had attempted to see if we could negotiate a voluntary increase in child support over the last several months, and we were not successful.
We’re still hoping to resolve this without judicial intervention, but that’s something that is going to be a decision they will make."
Meanwhile, Spears' representatives have not responded to the issue, though a source close to the singer told Entertainment Tonight:
"Kevin wants a raise in money and he can’t account for where the $20,000 is going."
The hearing is expected in August, this year.
Federline and Spears got engaged in July 2004, after 3 months of dating. The former couple got married on September 18, that year, however, after 2 years, they filed for divorce on November 7, 2006. The divorce was finalized on July 30, 2007.
Currently, Kevin is married to former volleyball player Victoria Prince and shares 2 daughters, Jordan Kay,6, and Peyton Marie,4. Also, with his past affair with Shar Jackson, Kevin is also a father to Kaleb Michael Jackson Federline and Kori Madison Federline.
