Brian Vernel is a Scottish Actor known for his role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and TV series The Last Kingdom.
Brian Vernel was born in 1991 in Glasgow, United Kingdom. He attended St. Mungo’s Academy in Bridgeton. He went to Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) after one-year general arts foundation course at Glasgow University.
Brian's first on-screen appearance was in BBC One crime drama television series The Field of Blood in 2011. Vernel then starred in the Davey Anderson play The Static in 2012. He portrayed the lead role as Sparky, an intelligent volatile teenager with psychic abilities. For his performance, he won a nomination for Best Actor at The Stage Awards of 2012.
Brian participated in the Donna Franceschild play Takin’ Over the Asylum which was played at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow. Brian won the Citizens Theatre Award as Best Actor for his performance.
