According to TBI, Brian, the son of WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Jerry “The King” Lawler and brother of wrestling referee Kevin Christian, was found hanging in his cell at the Hardeman County Jail on Saturday morning.

The agency said,

Corrections officers administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Lawler was transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis where he died Sunday afternoon.

Though authorities do not suspect foul play, as per the report, an investigation is underway.

Kevin also took to Facebook, where the family received an outpouring of support, to share the disheartening death of his brother.

He wrote,

Lots of different stories and rumors about my brother today. But as of 30 minutes ago he has officially passed. I love U and will miss U my brother! A very sad day today. Words can’t describe.

Many wrestling communities, including fellow wrestlers and former promotional organizations, shared their condolences and tributes to the late wrestling star via Twitter.
