Brandy Clark was born on 9th of October 1975, in Morton, Washington. Talking about her nationality, she is an American and is of white ethnicity. As a child, she was highly influenced by the country-pop and traditional country music artists such as Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap, and Barbara Mandrell.
Clark picked up the guitar for the first time when she was nine. During that time she also used to sing in school musicals. When her mother noticed her talent, she encouraged Clark to write songs. However, she paused her musical career for some time while in high school, and rather allocated her energies to sports. Later, she attended college on a basketball scholarship at Central Washington University.

Though Brandy Clark has been nominated for several awards like “Grammy Awards”, “American Country Awards”, “Country Music Association” while she is the winner of two prestigious awards “CMA Awards” 2015 for the category song of the year-“Follow Your Arrow” and “British Country Music Association Awards” for International Song of the year, “Stripes”.
