American alpine ski racer Bode Miller suffered a tragic loss as her daughter Emeline with wife Morgan Trains drowned in a pool in Orange County, California. And now he is a father to another child, he has already trained him as a swimmer.
As per the reports, their son Easton, who was born on Oct. 5, just four months after the death of their daughter, is already learning swimming.
Recently, in Thursday's episode of Today, the duo talked to Natalie Morales and opened up about the importance of water safety and shared their experience after the loss of their child. The couple also discussed their decision to teach their 6 months old Easton Vaughn Rek how to swim.
Talking to Natalia, Morgan said,
I think if you talk to any parent who’s lost a child to drowning, the research that you start to do — where I saw 6-month-old babies and 1-year-olds and 16-month-olds, 19-month-olds swimming — that could’ve been Emmy
She further went on to add,
And it was that easy to commit to one session of what we’re doing now, It would’ve changed everything.
Similarly, the father of the newly born shared his responsibility as parents and pointed on how concern one should be about their children. He said,
You’re worried about your food or your screen time or whatever, but THE number one thing is, that can take your child where none of that stuff is relevant is drowning.
Well, besides Easton, the couple is also parent to a son named Nash Skan, and the former ski champion also is a father to two children from his former relationship: son Samuel and daughter Neesyn.
