Blade Runner 2049 Actor Jared Leto Will Play The Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner In Biopic

Just today Jared Leto's movie Blade Runner 2049 has released in Italy and now he is all set to play the Playboy founder Hugh Hefner in a biopic which will be directed by the renowned American director Brett Ratner.

In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Brett told the website:

Jared is an old friend. When he heard I got the rights to Hef's story, he told me, 'I want to play him. I want to understand him.' And I really believe Jared can do it. He's one of the great actors of today.

The news comes days after Hefner died at age 91 at his home after going into cardiac arrest and suffering a respiratory failure on September 27.

Jared Leto, who won the 2014 Oscar Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as an HIV-positive transgender woman in Dallas Buyers Club, was panned for his Joker in the movie Suicide Squad.

Brett Ratner has been attached to this biopic since 2007 and finally, it is going to be made.
